Harry Styles entrance onto the pop music scene may seem to many unsuspecting fans as something like that of an overnight sensation. However, his solo career was preceded by his stint with the hugely successful pop band One Direction.

In 2016 Styles confirmed his exit from One Direction and in 2017 laid down a massive exclamation point with the release of his self titled debut album on Columbia Records. The rest is history, as Styles has seemingly picked up where his former band left off.

What’s as impressive as his music is how well this mass produced self titled debut record sounds on vinyl.
While critical acclaim for the record was mild, commercial success made the record one of the biggest sellers in 2017.

We would argue that it was also one of the better mastered and pressed records as well.
Sonically, the album is very impressive. Great dynamics and range. The bass is solid and the highs are right where they should be. Styles voice is up front, but not so much that it drowns out the mids.

This is the type of pressing we hope every artist, mastering engineer, publisher/manufacturer would aspire to achieve. It in some sense takes away the need for a remaster and quite possibly the argument for an audiophile release that may only improve upon the release ever so slightly.

However, we’d welcome one just so we could see how much more there is to experience from such a good record and well mastered and manufactured release. 💰
