The two bring to life the ballads that were hand selected by Verve founder Norman Granz.

There have been many reissues of Ella and Louis over the years, but few compare to the two record set pressed at 45 RPM by Analogue Productions. The album's mastering and manufacturing are exceptional. Mastered by the late great audio engineer George Marino and manufactured by Quality Records Pressing, the record leaves little to be desired from a quality perspective. Quiet, dynamic, spacious, clear, and detailed are just a few adjectives to describe the attributes of this record. If you close your eyes you would swear you were in the studio with Ella, Louis, Ray Brown, Buddy Rich and Herb Ellis. This record is so detailed that you can hear Louis's voice rumble as he prepares to compliment Ella's pristine vocals.💰
