Donald Fagen: Donald Fagen’s Nightfly Live

Donald Fagen is best known as the lead singer and the creative mind for Steely Dan. Steely Dan is known for their musicianship and creating masterfully produced and mastered albums. Fagen carried this same approach to his releases with the studio version of The Nightfly.

The Nightfly is viewed by many as one of the best sounding jazz-rock-pop fusion records released to date.
The MOFI UltraDisc and MOFI Original Master being the best vinyl pressings of The Nightly currently available. Donald Fagen’s The Nightfly Live is the complete The Nightfly album recorded live at The Orpheum Theater and Beacon Theater in New York with the Steely Dan Band in 2019.

Mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering, The Nightfly Live is mastered and pressed very well, especially for a live album. It's a very dynamic album with nice detail. However, and as one would expect, Fagen’s voice is not at the level it once was. But the Steely Dan Band is on point.
