Dean Martin: Dream With Dean
Original Release: 1964 Reprise Records
Reissue: 2014 Analogue Productions
There are few voices as recognizable as Dean Martin's. The warmth, depth and breadth of his vocal abilities are rare. He was also one of the rare few who could bring his charismatic personality into the music to lift it to another level. While the list of great records and songs that he produced as a solo artist or as a part of the Rat Pack are too numerous to list, Dream With Dean remains one of his most intimate and well recorded efforts.
Released in 1964 on Reprise Records, Dream with Dean peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The single "Everybody Loves Somebody" went on to become his second single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. If there was one criticism of the album by reviewers, it was its lack of variety. It is without a doubt a mellow, relaxing, and sit down and have a glass of wine and enjoy the music type album. That is not a bad thing!

Analogue Productions released Dream With Dean in 2014 as a two record set pressed on 180 gram vinyl at 45 RPMs. All we can say about this record is that if you wish to experience Dino in your room with you, you need to listen to this record. His voice sits front and center. The instrumental separation is excellent, as is the detail. The claim made by AP that this is an audiophile record is legit. It is truly a wonderful pressing and one of the few that is worth every penny.💰
